Are YOU a Friend of the Wild Ramp Market?

July 3, 2012

The Wild Ramp Market will be opening very very soon……so soon we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. It has been an amazing whirlwind of activity for the very small group of dedicated people who knew they wanted fresh farm food. They also heard from YOU  that you want fresh farm food so they have been working long long hours, before, sneaking moments during, and after their daytime jobs to build this market so we all can have local farm food easily available.

There have been calls for volunteer assistance, some perhaps with not the best advance notice, and a few members of the community have come forward to help tear down walls, build new ones, install electrical and plumbing, obtain equipment like shelving and freezers and coolers for the store, paint, clean, and get it all in place. In addition, others worked with the local farmers to help them understand the wonderful marketing opportunity for them in becoming Producer Members and I have had the wonderful job of going to visit the farms in order to introduce them to you. It is important that you know your farmer!!

Now it is time to ask you to step forward and become a Friend of the Market. This is a shopper membership that provides wonderful perks. You do not need to be a member to shop at the Wild Ramp Market but your membership helps the cash flow. As in any business, the Wild Ramp needs some front end cash in order to pay for items and services that have not been donated. So, that is why they need you to take action NOW.

What do you gain by being a member?
